Conceptualization is done in a series of sessions that last one hour each. Typically, clients are required to complete tasks and homework assignments between sessions that are customized to each clients particular needs. These tasks and assignments form the basis of the next one-hour session. How many sessions are needed depends on several factors such as the complexity of the project, homework completion, and the developmental stage of the student (more advanced students may need fewer sessions whereas those who are just beginning may need more assistance).
